De Bortoli Wines Puts A Twist On Heathcote Shiraz

Media release, June 2023

Introducing De Bortoli’s HANDCRAFTED Heathcote Shiraz: A Masterpiece in Small-Batch Winemaking

Enter De Bortoli’s newest addition to the portfolio, HANDCRAFTED Heathcote Shiraz. A meticulous, purposefully chosen, small parcel of Shiraz handcrafted by Chief Winemaker Steve Webber and influenced by the environmental forces that Heathcote has to offer.

It is known that the Heathcote region is well known for producing intense and full-bodied Shiraz wines with distinctive structure, and fruit-driven characteristics. HANDCRAFTED Heathcote Shiraz not only exhibits these Heathcote characteristics, it has also been cultivated to be quite supple, relaxed, ethereal and compelling. This allows the grapes and the unique characteristics of the region to shine through in the final wine, yet provides a distinctive difference to others in the market.

“Heathcote has a long history of growing Shiraz of extraordinary quality. The ancient Cambrian red soils of the region give flavours of dark berry fruits and violets combined with lovely texture and feel.” says Chief Winemaker, Steve Webber.

Ready to taste an incredible wine that the Heathcote region has to offer? A delicate yet deep, inky and perfumed Shiraz is waiting for you.
