2022 has been an outstanding year for De Bortoli Wines! The Australian family-owned company’s commitment to making innovative and quality wines has resulted in another excellent year, receiving numerous awards.
This year De Bortoli has been acknowledged across wine shows both nationally and internationally, being awarded 32 Trophies including 13 for their renowned Botrytis Wines - Noble One and Deen Vat 5 Botrytis Semillon, and 4 Trophies for their Fortified wines including the unique Black Noble.
Since 1982 De Bortoli has been an industry leader with the making and production of the iconic Noble One, being the benchmark for ‘Botrytis’ dessert wines. These 4 trophies awarded at the National & International wine shows across several vintages for Noble One are a sweet reminder of the amazing work the winemakers at De Bortoli do!

Furthermore, De Bortoli Black Noble was awarded a trophy for The Best Wine from Australia at the 2022 Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits competition, one of the most prestigious international competitions in the industry.
The De Bortoli Rutherglen Estate range of wines had an exceptional year winning 7 trophies. The 2021 Rutherglen Estate Arneis awarded a trophy for the Best Australian Dry White Table Wine made from fruit grown in the North East region of Victoria at the 2022 Sydney Wine Show.
The DB Winemaker Selection range requires special mention for garnering 3 trophies from the 2022 wine show circuit as this range is reasonably priced at less than $15. These accolades showcase the quality De Bortoli put into every brand no matter the price point.
In addition to the trophies, the company also won 171 Silver Medals and 94 Gold Medals. 52 of the Gold Medals were from wines produced in the Riverina where the story for De Bortoli Wines began. Managing Director, Darren De Bortoli said “I’m proud of the teams in Bilbul, Rutherglen and Yarra Valley for growing and producing a range of outstanding wines along with the fruit supplied to De Bortoli Wines by our loyal growers especially here in the Riverina.”
