Yarra Valley Single Vineyard Chardonnay Earns Top Honours in the 2025 Wine Show Circuit

De Bortoli’s Yarra Valley Single Vineyard Chardonnay showcase the exceptional quality and expressive character that can be achieved in one of Australia’s most revered cool-climate regions. Crafted from carefully tended vineyard parcels, these wines are hand harvested and handled with precision to capture varietal purity, regional nuance and elegant structure. The result is Chardonnay with bright fruit, textural detail and a seamless balance that reflects both site and season.

The Single Vineyard A5 Chardonnay  featured strongly on the 2025 wine show circuit. The 2024 vintage was awarded the Bailey Carrodus Memorial Perpetual Wine of Provenance Trophy and a Gold Medal at the 2025 Yarra Valley Wine Show, affirming the site’s capacity for age-worthy, expressive Chardonnay. Earlier vintages of the A5 also performed exceptionally at the same show, with the 2021 and 2017 releases each securing a Trophy and Gold Medal, while the 2022 vintage earned a Gold Medal at the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards.

The Single Vineyard A7 Chardonnay also stood out in 2025 with the 2019 vintage taking home the Best Museum Wine of Show Trophy and a Gold Medal at the 2025 Victorian Wine Show. This recognition celebrates the wine’s refined texture, savoury nuance and ability to develop gracefully with time.
