The DEEN brand was launched in 2005 as a tribute to Deen De Bortoli’s vision of creating quality wine for everyone to enjoy, and has been doing so for over two decades. The Vat 5 Botrytis Semillon is a sweet white wine, characterised by its long and fine palate with notes of nutmeg, orange, and pineapple. De Bortoli has been recognised time and time again as a benchmark producer of Australian Botrytis wine, these newest awards only bolstering that position.

Trophy & Gold Medal Wins Across Awards Shows for De Bortoli’s DEEN Dessert Wine

De Bortoli’s 2022 DEEN Vat 5 Botrytis Semillon won five trophies across the 2026 awards shows. These included Best Sweet Wine and Best NSW Wine at the Sydney Wine Show, Best Sweet White Wine at the Cowra Wine Show, Dessert Wine Trophy at the 2026 Korea Wine Challenge, and Best Sweet White at the Brisbane Wine Show. 

In addition, the 2022 vintage received three gold medals across the Sydney, Cowra, and Brisbane wine shows. 

This impressively strong performance across both national and international wine shows only bolster De Bortoli’s reputation for crafting world class Botrytis dessert wines. De Bortoli is showcasing how they are fulfilling Deen De Bortoli’s vision of quality wines for everyone to enjoy.
