The Heathcote and Rutherglen regions are both fantastic places to make bold, rich red wines. The soils are a range of gravel, clay, alluvial soil mix resulting in a positive diversity of rich fruit flavours.
The Heathcote region is well known for its warmer climate and the ancient Cambrian soils that are ideal for bold, robust wines.
The Rutherglen region is blessed with long, mild and stable autumn conditions, allowing the grapes extra ‘hang time’ on the vine, to develop the dark red and black fruit characters.

The size of a redback is generally between 3mm to 10mm. Well, it's just as big as a chickpea but they are capable of capturing quite large animals!
