The Yarra Valley is not just a great place to make premium cool climate wine, it's also breathtakingly beautiful, ringed by mountains with a valley floor stitched with lines of grapevines and awash with golden light. And it’s less than an hour’s drive from Melbourne.

De Bortoli Wines bought this vineyard and winery in 1987, inheriting some of the oldest plantings in the Yarra Valley - Shiraz vines dating back to the early 1970s. Since then the Yarra Valley Estate, managed by Leanne De Bortoli and her husband, De Bortoli Wines’ chief winemaker Steve Webber, has grown to 240 hectares.

Planted with a wide range of varieties including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon, Shiraz and Viognier, many of our vineyards are now managed using healthy soil-focussed biological farming.
