De Bortoli senior winemaker, Julie Mortlock, shortlisted at the Oscars of the wine trade


De Bortoli Wine’s Julie Mortlock, Senior Winemaker and custodian of the family’s world famous Noble One dessert wine, has been shortlisted for Sweet Winemaker of the Year 2016 at the International Wine Challenge (IWC). Known as the “Oscars of the Wine Trade”, the awards will be announced at a special event on 7 July in London in the United Kingdom (UK).

Julie, who is based at De Bortoli’s Bilbul Estate in the Riverina of New South Wales, is the only Australian woman to be shortlisted and one of only three females nominated at the awards. The IWC is regarded as the world’s finest and most meticulously judged wine competition.
