AREA MANAGER – SALES
GOLD COAST, LOGAN, BRISBANE & SUNSHINE COAST

We are looking to appoint an Area Manager - Sales to work within our Queensland Branch servicing major customers in Off-Premise Trade within the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast areas. Duties will include:

  • Achieve budgeted sales targets
  • Developing positive trade relations within an existing customer base
  • Identifying new opportunities
  • Developing and implementing innovative sales strategies
  • Maximising existing contractual accounts

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic person, with excellent communication and customer service skills. Previous experience in a similar role in FMCG as well as product/market knowledge within the wine industry would be highly considered. This role requires a highly motivated individual to work independently and in a team environment, have the ability to take ownership of allocated work tasks, meet deadlines and have sound attention to detail.

SOUS CHEF
LOCALE RESTAURANT, YARRA VALLEY

Located amongst the vines on our Yarra Valley Estate is our Winery, Cellar Door and Restaurant. Locale Restaurant is an integral part of the visitor experience of De Bortoli and we are currently looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our innovative and dynamic team. Reporting to the Head Chef, duties will include:

  • Preparation and assembly of ingredients.
  • General cooking
  • Effective management of food production to minimise wastage
  • Ensuring hygiene standards are maintained in accordance with legislation
  • Contributing to the effectiveness of the kitchen team
  • Deputising for Head Chef during periods of absence

The successful applicant will have a passion for quality & consistency and be able to utilise their extensive food knowledge and creativity to sustain a high level of innovation in all kitchen activities & operations. A high level of communication and attention to detail, as well as the ability to perform under pressure in a fast paced environment are considered essential to succeed in this role.

CASUAL WAIT STAFF
YARRA VALLEY, VICTORIA

Located amongst the vines on our Yarra Valley Estate is our Winery, Cellar Door and Restaurant. Locale Restaurant is an integral part of the visitor experience of De Bortoli and we are currently looking for experienced Casual Wait Staff to join our innovative and dynamic team.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assisting in providing the highest level of food and beverage customer service.
  • Preparing the restaurant for service including tables, utensils and glassware.
  • Greeting and seating customers on arrival.
  • Accurately recording customers orders and promptly relaying to the kitchen team.
  • Ensuring hygiene standards are maintained within the restaurant.
  • Processing customer transactions and payments.

Successful applicants must have a complete understanding of food service and an absolute passion for providing an outstanding customer experience. Previous a la carte experience is a must, as is a RSA certificate and current references. The restaurant is open for lunch Thursday through Monday, as well as for dinner Saturday evenings.
