VINTAGE 2020
BILBUL, NSW

De Bortoli Wines is one of Australia’s leading family owned and operated wine companies with extensive national and international markets. With the 2020 Vintage season just around the corner, we are seeking to fill the following seasonal positions within our Riverina-based operation:

  • Cellar Hands
  • Laboratory Technicians
  • Field Officers
  • Maintenance Assistants

These supervised roles cover a range of duties including grower liaison, grape receival and testing, processing of fruit, juice and wine, operation of key winery equipment, maintenance of winery equipment, vintage winemaking activities and general house keeping. Key performance criteria for these roles include; minimising waste and damage to product, maintaining quality throughout the winemaking process and most importantly working in a safe and responsible manner at all times.

Applicants must be prepared and available to:

  • Attend an interview in person, week commencing 4th November 2019
  • Undertake employee screening including a physical assessment and urine drug and alcohol testing
  • Participate in our Company's extensive employee induction program
  • Work extended shifts as required

Whilst not essential, previous experience within the wine industry and relevant accredited training would be considered an advantage. Successful applicants must be committed and reliable, have the ability to work as a team member, be willing to learn new skills and have their own transport and accommodation. An exciting opportunity has become available for a Part Time Customer Service Administrator to work within our Melbourne Sales Office located in Croydon. Reporting directly to the Customer Service Team Leader, we are seeking a proactive and customer focused person to perform the following duties;

  • Receive and process customer orders
  • Follow through on all customer enquiries
  • Answer and transfer incoming calls
  • Perform administration duties including Accounts Receivable

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic person with sound communication and customer service skills. The successful applicant will possess excellent administrative and computing/data entry skills and be able to communicate with and support internal and external customers and suppliers. This role is a Part Time position - three days per week, 8.30am to 4.30pm.

EXPORT WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR
HEAD OFFICE, BILBUL

An exciting opportunity has become available for a full time Export Warehouse Supervisor to work within our warehouse in Bilbul. This role reports directly to the Warehouse Foreman and involves a range of duties including;

  • The safe operation of a forklift to load and unload goods
  • Preparation of export orders
  • Loading containers
  • Conducting stocktakes
  • Rotating stock as required
  • Supervising staff, ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures

We are seeking a self-organised, hands-on and committed individual, who possesses supervisory experience in a warehouse situation. The successful applicant will be required to work in a team structure, have the ability to take ownership of allocated work tasks, and be prepared to work shifts and overtime as required. Experience in an export environment is desired but not essential for the right person.

VINTAGE 2020

CHEF DE PARTIE

Locale Restaurant is an integral part of the visitor experience of De Bortoli and we are currently looking for an experienced Chef De Partie to join our innovative and dynamic team. Reporting to the Head Chef, duties will include:

  • Preparation and assembly of ingredients.
  • General cooking
  • Effective management of food production to minimise wastage
  • Ensuring hygiene standards are maintained in accordance with legislation
  • Contributing to the effectiveness of the kitchen team

The successful applicant will have a passion for quality & consistency and be able to utilise their extensive food knowledge and creativity to sustain a high level of innovation in all kitchen activities & operations. CELLAR DOOR MANAGER
POKOLBIN - HUNTER VALLEY, NSW

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cellar Door Manager to promote brand De Bortoli by providing an experience that showcases the heritage and passion of the family. The key responsibilities of this hands-on role include:

  • Actively market and promote the Company's products, services and experiences through cellar door sales and tourism activities and events in the Hunter Valley
  • Contribute to the implementation of the company vision and mission in relation to the direct to consumer, cellar door channel.
  • Ensure the provision of prompt and courteous service to all De Bortoli customers and visitors
  • Develop the skills and capability of the cellar door team to meet visitor demand whilst maintaining outstanding service standards 
  • Monitor cellar door financial performance and develop commercially sound business opportunities with an emphasis on providing a unique and valuable consumer experience.
  • Ensure that all administrative and stock related procedures and processes are carried out in accordance with Head Office requirements and timeframes
  • Ensure that any necessary site maintenance is carried out promptly, including maintaining the integrity of site security

The preferred applicant will have an extensive knowledge and awareness of wine styles and trends and be able to effectively share this knowledge with visitors, fellow team members and other Company representatives.

Other key qualities include strong leadership skills, a sound attention to detail, an outgoing personality and hands-on attitude, as well as a passion for the product, people and the wine industry. A current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate is considered essential whilst relevant studies and formal qualifications in Hospitality/Wine/Management would be highly advantageous for the preferred applicant.
