SOUS CHEF
LOCALE RESTAURANT, YARRA VALLEY

Located amongst the vines on our Yarra Valley Estate is our Winery, Cellar Door and Restaurant.  Locale Restaurant is an integral part of the visitor experience of De Bortoli and we are currently looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our innovative and dynamic team.  

Reporting to the Head Chef, duties will include: 

  • Preparation and assembly of ingredients.
  • General cooking
  • Effective management of food production to minimise wastage
  • Ensuring hygiene standards are maintained in accordance with legislation
  • Contributing to the effectiveness of the kitchen team
  • Deputising for Head Chef during periods of absence

The successful applicant will have a passion for quality & consistency and be able to utilise their extensive food knowledge and creativity to sustain a high level of innovation in all kitchen activities & operations.  A high level of communication and attention to detail, as well as the ability to perform under pressure in a fast paced environment are considered essential to succeed in this role.
