“I think it would be great to build the reputation of Australian wines overseas and would love De Bortoli and the other Australia’s First Family of Wine members to take a leading role in achieving this.”
Anna De Bortoli, daughter of Managing Director Darren De Bortoli and his wife Margot, is currently studying a Bachelor of Business at RMIT University and working within De Bortoli Wines as a Marketing Assistant.
She’s been working in the company in a number of different positions since she was at school – from waitressing at the family’s Yarra Valley restaurant Locale to stints on the bottling line and product development.
Anna feels a strong connection to the company, particularly in the areas of sustainability and waste reduction. Anna’s also a fan of Petit Verdot and Durif, despite the “family obsession with Yarra Valley Pinot Noir”.
