Jen's Canadian Pork Back Ribs

PORK RIBS

  • 1kg pork ribs
  • ½ cup plum sauce
  • ½ cup De Bortoli 8 Year Old Fine Tawny
  • 1/3 cup each honey, sweet chilli sauce and soy sauce
  • squirt of mustard
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh garlic

Place ribs in slow cooker. Combine plum sauce, honey, sweet chilli, soy sauce, mustard and garlic and pour over ribs. Turn slow cooker on to low and cook for as long as possible. 6 hours is ideal, but they will be fine after 4 hours if you don’t have the time. Every 45 minutes, turn ribs and baste ribs with the sauce. Once cooked, transfer to ovenproof dish and baste again. Place under the grill until sizzling. Serve on a platter with a side salad and rice.
