"Consumer Reports Best Buy. Vivid mouth filling fruity style (juicy fruit, candy banana) with some sweetness."

Pink, sweet and lightly fizzy, this sparkling Moscato received a 90 point rating from Wine Business Monthly. Potently aromatic with scents of honey, peach/apricot and orange blossoms, this sparkler features tasty notes of sweet red currant, strawberries, honeyed ginger and Turkish delight.

"Sweetly irresistible to 99% of humans, Moscato is the wine world's latest hot ticket. Unless you're wearing a super-snob cape, what's not to like? This pink bubbly Aussies swings deftly between cotton candy and a bowl of fresh strawberries. What it lacks in acid, it makes up for with spritz, so it’s still refreshing, and has quite the long finish. At 8% alcohol, it’s for drinking, not “tasting,” and likely to be the first wine gone at a brunch."

W.R Tish, New York Wine Salon, October 2011

"Fun in Pink! The sudden popularity of Moscato wines (still and bubbly) has been duly noted. The Emeri offers aromas of white raisins, apricots, candied citrus peel and musky honey notes. The palate is sweet and light moussey with similar honey, apricot and citrus peel flavours. Low alcohol and visually mouth-watering."

"I’d award this bubbly a medal simply for its colour. Pastel-pink and
seductive, it’s medium sweet, similar to a moscato d’Asti from Italy. The
effervescence is moderate and so is the alcohol content, at just 8 percent. This fragrant, refreshing, sparkling wine is a fine match for summer
berries and it’s a splendid aperitif."

"Luscious peach and strawberry notes have fun with pear and floral notes on the nose of this Aussie bubbly. At only eight per cent alcohol, it brings some sweetness on the palate - think of a bowl full of ripe raspberries and cut-up strawberries and peaches. The fresh fruitiness and relatively low alcohol content makes this an ideal early-morning toast to the newlyweds - it also does well with The Queen's Chocolate Biscuit Cake (my mom made one on a test run for her royal get-together, and it's delicious)."

Ben Mac-Phee-Sigurdson, Uncorked, April 2011

"Why it's hot: Not only does this sparkling wine have a great price, but bubbly is just prettier in pink! It also beat five other sparkling roses in our blind tastings thanks to its “mouth filling” fruitiness. Its slight sweetness makes it perfect with a nice spring lunch of tropical fruit salad and light, sweet and savory finger foods. Think what a lovely hostess gift this would make at all those spring parties, too."

"Sure to be a hit if you are looking for something off dry, fizzy and pink. Weighing in at 8% alcohol, which helps keep the sweetness under control, it has plenty of sweetness and fresh, tasty and summery flavours. Just the right amount of bubbles to remind you that this wine is meant to be fun."

Tom Firth, Wine Access - Canada, December 2010

Good
"There's wild strawberry fragrance to begin the seduction process, ripe sweet redcurrant and strawberry flavours, gentle fizz and a fresh, clean, sweet finish."

Peter Forrestal, Quaff 2011, October 2010

"De Bortoli has developed this into an exciting little sweet spritzy sparkler that is simple yet effective. A pale pink in colour, with ripe fresh fruits dominating the light (eight per cent alcohol) palate and lovely hints of strawberries, fresh blossom, musk and spice aromas on the nose"

Jon Helmer, Bellarine Times, February 2010

"Moscato has hit the bargain end of the shelf this year, and rightfully so. As a wine for the sweet-tooths to quaff, this does a mighty fine job with its pretty salmon hue and its perfumed rose petal, Turkish Delight and strawberry flavours."

, WBM, December 2009

"Visually mouth-watering, a pale rose petal pink with potent aromatics of muscat - honey, peach/apricot, orange blossoms and candied citrus peel. Expect a sweet bubbly, with a friendly mousse and snappy, refreshing acidity. The flavours echo the aromas making this a wine made for fruit pavlova or an aperitif paired with spicy mini appys..."

, Wine Diva (Canada), September 2009

"Chill this local moscato well, and enjoy its bright berry aromas and sweet fruit flavours. Soft and creamy on the palate, with a gentle fizz, it suits the sweetness of white chocolate."

Sally Gudgeon, Sun Herald, April 2009

"What's the story? It's from De Bortoli's newest range, so named to honour the family matriarch. And the happy bonus is it's only 8% alcohol. Tastes Light and refreshing, with musk stick flavours and a touch of spice..."

Lyndey Milan, Australian Good Food Magazine, March 2009

"I tasted the two 'Emeri' moscatos on different occasions and wrote quite similar notes on how they tasted. As well as its delicate salmon-pink colour, the pink had delightfully grapey flavours that were full-throttle, sweet on the mid-palate yet finishing clean, fresh and crisp. Still sweet but gently, refreshingly so."

Peter Forrestal, Quaff, December 2008

"Very fresh, fruity muscat nose with plenty of sweet muscat flavours on the palate, well balanced by acid."

, Winestate, Champagne & Sparkling Tasting, November 2008

"There should be more wines of this style at this price. Emeri is a lot of fun, light in both alcohol and flavour, packed with honeyed ginger, Turkish delight and ripe strawberry fruits. Most importantly, it's fine, balanced and refreshing."

Tyson Stelzer, WBM100, October 2008

"Pretty, floral-rose-like fragrances. Soft and sweet in the mouth, with a lovely soft, creamy texture."

, Winestate, River Regions and Riverina Tasting, October 2008

"Glug, glug-a-lug. Not one drop was left on Christmas Day of this refreshing fruity drink that's so delightfully thirst-quenching. Lightly frizzante, it's full of musk rose petal and Turkish delight notes, lovely and sweet but fresh with a clean finish that means a top-up is needed. In this instance, another bottle."

Jane Faulkner, The Age, January 2008

"I particularly like the Emeri Pink Moscato, with its cheerful hues, busy bubbles and lively strawberry flavour."

, Newcastle Herald, December 2007

"The sparkling-wine cork and mesh give this moscato a more traditional presentation. Strawberry-scented and fresh. It's a wonderful celebratory drop. Match it with panettone."

Sally Gudgeon, Sun Herald, Wines Lesson, December 2007

"Pale ruby pink in colour. Fresh strawberry and fragrant muscat aromas. A very sweet wine on the palate, offering soft creamy fruits in a light-bodied style."

, Winestate, Sparkling Non-Vintage, November 2007

"Delicate pink wine with a sweet floral nose and very sweet, lolly-like palate - very true to style."

, Winestate, New Releases, Sparkling Wines, November 2007

“What better way to honour the De Bortoli matriach, Emeri, then with this pretty pink sparkling. It’s sweet and sassy, great value, and glowing with candied strawberry and berry fruit flavours, a fine bead and crisp, clean finish.

Kerry Skinner, Illawarra Mercury, November 2007

"Fresh fruity muscaty wine with a touch of lifted strawberry and musk. Sweet, fruity and balanced with a fine crisp acid."

, West Australian, November 2007

"Attractive salmon colour with muscaty, floral nose. Good, strong grapey flavours with soft texture. Impressive with long, persistent flavour."

Jeni Port, The Age, November 2007

"Fresh fruit aromas with strawberry and musk."

, National Liquor News, October 2007

"No wonder, really, given the De Bortoli family's long and proud Italian background, that a Moscato would eventually find its way into the range. This is an extremely well priced example: fun, slightly frothy and fruity."
