Sauvignon Blanc is an aromatic variety often made in a 'fresh' style to exhibit grassy aromas, gooseberry flavours and delicate acidity. It can also be made in the French tradition, fermented and matured in old oak.
Australian Darren De Bortoli and New Zealander Brent Marris are proud to introduce an exciting new chapter in the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc story. This hugely popular white wine offers fresh grassy aromas and gooseberry flavours wonderfully balanced with fantastic texture, length, steely herbal character and excellent varietal expression. Intense grassy fruit characters with subtle barrel influences, gentle acid and lingering finish. After fermentation the wines were stirred fortnightly to give complexity and texture. Vibrant straw in colour with green hues. This wine displays fresh grassy, slightly aromatic nose with some gooseberry characters. A vibrant palate with zesty flavours and good citrus characters. Light fresh and easy drinking. Clean and fragrant grassy aroma with subtle tropical fruit characters The palate is minerally and tight with nuanced varietal characters and a gentle phenolic grip. Displays smoothness, structure and texture, finishing with length and balance.
Pale straw with hints of green. Subtle Sauvignon fruit, quite expressive and minerally. Creamy and elegant. Fine, slate like flavours with good length and texture. We all love Sauvignon Blanc so we added bubbles! Fresh and zesty with citrus, gooseberry and tropical fruit flavours, finishing with persistence, balance and fine structure. |
