Export - Willowglen Rose 2010

Region
Riverina

Appearance
Vibrant cherry red with a blue hue.

Bouquet
Strawberries and cream, sweet ripe watermelon, lifted vibrant red fruits.

Palate
The strawberries and cream continue on the palate along with fresh red berry flavours and bright red apple acidity.

Vintage Conditions
The lead up to vintage 2010 saw quite mild growing conditions and some rainfall. The January and February night temperatures were quite mild allowing fruit to ripen and retain good acidity.

Winemaking
Parcels of fruit were selected by the winemaker for their flavour profile and colour. Fruit was picked when the desired sugar level had been reached. Fruit was de-steamed and crushed. The must was cold soaked on skins for 24-48hrs to help extract colour from the skins. The grapes were then pressed and the juice fermented at cool temperatures (around 14°C) to help retain as much fresh fruit character as possible.
