De Bortoli Wines has an extensive collection of aged wine stocks maturing in barrel. The winemakers draw from these barrels to blend our premium fortified wines including the unique Black Noble. These wines are attractively presented in gift cylinder or gift box.
Changes to our Premium Fortified range
Due to changes in the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation Act 1980, the names of several of our premium fortified wines have now changed.
You may notice our Port and Sherry have changed their names and no longer include the words 'Port' or 'Sherry' in the title. This is due to geographical claims made on these names by their cities of origin such as “Porto” in Portugal, the home of Port. This is similar to the way the word “Champagne” may only be used to describe a sparkling wine from that particular region in France.
Please be assured it is only the names that have changed and these varieties are still created using the same methods that produce the wines you love.
If you have any queries regarding the changes or need help finding your favourite, please do not hesitate to contact us by visiting our Feedback page.
A list of De Bortoli wines effected by these changes is available here.
