Vintage Conditions
The lead up to vintage 2010 saw quite mild growing conditions and some rainfall. The rain abated for half of vintage, January through to middle of February, with disease pressure being very low during this time. January and February night temperatures were quite mild allowing fruit to ripen and retain good acidity.

Winemaking
Low yielding young Pinot Grigio vineyards from the Riverina were used. As well as 10 -  15 year old Traminer vineyards displaying intense varietal characters. Wine making techniques included fermentation at elevated temperatures as well as with natural solids. These techniques improve texture and softness without sacrificing varietal expression. The wine is given some time on yeast lees to give complexity to the natural fruit flavours.
