Pinot Grigio or Pinot Gris is widely grown in Europe. 'Pinot Gris' styles have French influences [Alsace] whereas 'Pinot Grigio' styles are usually fresh, lightbodied wines influenced by Italian Pinot Grigios.
Light straw in colour with a green edge. Complex, faintly aromatic, fresh. Pear like fruit with nutty undertones. Clean but good texture and complexity, quite fine, gluggable!
Hints of rose water and lychee mixed with grapefruit.

The wine is given some time on yeast lees to give complexity to the natural fruit flavours.

Act Three is a blend of Pinot Gris (92%) and a splash of Riesling and Gewurztraminer. It is quite Euro in style - delicate, faintly aromatic, subtle, textural, delicious. We tried this at several temperatures the other day. At about 10°C, it is bang on!
