Windy Peak wines are made at our Dixon's Creek winery from carefully selected fruit grown in the Yarra Valley, King Valley and other regions. The wines are generous in flavour with fine grained texture, perfect for bringing out the best in food.
This multi-regional blend combines cool climate and warm climate fruit. This wine is blended to maximise complexity while maintaining delicacy and balance. Vibrant straw in colour with green hues. Fermented in tank and older French oak casks for texture and complexity. Fruit was sourced from a number of Victorian regions. The wine displays blueberry, plum and brambly fruits, fine integrated tannins, subtle oak and savoury, dry finish. This wine is soft, round and textured. The low acidity results in a dry, freshing finish. The fresh fruit characters on the nose follow through to the palate giving bright and lively flavours. Bright appearance with good red and purple rim. Complex, brooding, fresh berry, spicey nose with hints of whole bunches and graphite. The palate shows lightish but complex and mouth filling.
