Deep purple with crimson hues

Bouquet
Fragrant cassis, ripe plum with hints of mint and subtle cedar oak aromas

Palate
Rich black fruits and sweet plum with fine grain tannins and well integrated oak, makes this a soft generous wine.

Vintage Conditions
Initially a dry winter with good rain received in late winter, allowed good fruit set to occur. The growing season was warm and dry which resulted in wines with good ripeness, great colour and ripe tannins.

Winemaking
Fruit was selected by the winemaker and picked when both flavour and Baumé levels were optimum. Fruit was cold soaked and fermented at 25 º- 32ºc for an average of  7 days  The wine also underwent malo-lactic fermentation. Matured in French and American oak barriques for 12 months.
