Cellar Door Sales Assistant
Dixons Creek, Yarra Valley

We are seeking to appoint a casual Cellar Door Sales Assistant to join our award winning Cellar Door Sales team. This casual position reports directly to the Cellar Door Manager and would involve three to five days per week, including weekends and public holidays.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Maximise wine sales with customers/visitors
  • Promote our brand by engaging and educating our guests
  • Maintain a high level of presentation of the cellar door

The successful applicant will possess excellent customer service skills, the ability to work in a team environment as well as under pressure on busy days. A passion for the wine industry and a sound knowledge of wines is essential as is a current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA). 

We are seeking an individual who will also be physically capable of picking  and packing wine club boxes when necessary.

  • Undertake required laboratory operations and analysis as directed
  • Perform all analysis and reporting in accordance with the laboratory quality system
  • Identify out of specification results/analysis and escalate for further action as required
  • Ensure all laboratory operations and activities are performed in a manner that ensures compliance with internal and external operating procedures, policies and standards
  • Promote safe attitudes and work practices

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic person who is qualified in Food Technology or a science related discipline with excellent oral & written communication skills and strong computer skills. The successful candidate will also be flexible, adaptable, possess sound attention to detail, possess a knowledge of laboratory operating procedures and ISO/IEC 17025-requirements. A knowledge of laboratory quality systems and standards would be highly advantageous.
