In the north east the King Valley is establishing a reputation for its delicious European style wines.
The De Bortoli vineyards cover 180 hectares along 3 kilometres of King River frontage where our staff can often be spotted fishing after a hard days work.

The cellar door, open daily from 10am-5pm, is a welcoming place where you can taste superb Hunter Valley vintages including single vineyard wines from Murphy's and Will's Hill vineyards.

Adam comes to us with a strong background in Italian cooking which fits in beautifully with the De Bortoli family’s philosophy of delicious food shared with good friends and of course, good wine.

...is to use as much local and fresh produce as possible. We currently produce all our own bread, pasta's and gelato. We are also growing vegetables as well as strawberries and a vast range of herbs....all this can be found planted in the gardens around the estate.

Salt complements and lifts the flavours of sparkling wine and most cold, acidic white wines. Unmatured salty, acidic goats cheese, or dishes containing it, are there to make your fizz look good.
