The De Bortoli family has a tradition of warm Italian hospitality instilled by Vittorio and Giuseppina De Bortoli which is extended to the company's three Cellar Door Sales outlets where visitors can taste and purchase from De Bortoli's extensive range of award winning wines assisted by friendly, knowledgeable staff.

De Bortoli's newest cellar door is in the world renowned Hunter Valley. The historic Hunter Valley is Australia's oldest wine growing region and produces wines with character and personality and the ability to age gracefully in the bottle. The region is especially famous for its wonderful Semillon wines. These wines will enhance De Bortoli's portfolio and complement the Yarra Valley and King Valley wine ranges. The De Bortoli winery is at the gateway to the Hunter on Wine Country Drive directly opposite Broke Road and is the first winery you encounter as you begin your journey into Hunter Valley wine country.

The 26-hectare property includes an 800 tonne capacity winery that produces the De Bortoli Hunter Valley. De Bortoli has purchased the adjoining 100 acre block with the view to future plantings of varieties including Semillon, Shiraz and Merlot and has also purchased a nearby vineyard with mature 40 year old Semillon vines.

The refurbished cellar door is a welcoming, contemporary space where you can taste superb wines from the Hunter Valley, Individual Vineyard wines including Murphy's Vineyard Semillon and Wills Hill Vineyard Shiraz and we are now offering a new range called Central Ranges that comprise blended varietal wines inspired by wines from the Rhone Valley, France. We also offer our Hunter Valley Cellar Door Wine Club, DBHV Wine Club.

There are  further plans for improvements and a new larger Cellar Door which will house tasting areas for both small and larger groups. Landscaping and beautification will also be part of an ongoing process.
