De Bortoli Bilbul

The Bilbul Cellar Door in the Riverina region of southern New South Wales is the original De Bortoli winery established by Vittorio & Giuseppina De Bortoli in 1928. Fifty years ago customers purchased their wine in bulk, in wooden barrels or demijohns. Today Bilbul is home to some of Australia's most prestigious wines including the acclaimed Noble One, one of the world's most highly awarded and sought after wines.

The Cellar Door is set amongst the beautiful winery gardens created by Emeri De Bortoli and offers a wide selection of wines to taste and purchase including local vintages as well as selected wines from our Yarra Valley, King Valley and Hunter Valley vineyards. Many of our wines have earned both critical and popular acclaim. The Cellar Door is quite modest and intimate and retains its small family winery ambiance. Our staff are friendly and knowledgeable and visitors can learn as much [or as little] as they wish.

While the Tasting List varies from season to season, core brands on offer include the delicious Emeri sparkling wines; the Deen Vat Series; [These wines are a tribute to Emeri & Deen De Bortoli]; the Sero label, sourced from the King Valley; the popular Windy Peak wines, made at our Yarra Valley winery; and of course, Noble One. Visitors can enjoy the winery gardens which include a children's playground and are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the seated areas under shady pergolas. Special events, notably celebrazione @ DE BORTOLI, Easter Sunday and unWINEd on the June Long Weekend are held during the year and there is the opportunity to join our mailing list to receive information and news about new releases, upcoming events and special offers.

Bilbul Cellar Door has been recognised by the Inland NSW Inland Tourism Awards over the past four years; awarded Best Cellar Door in 2006, a Special Distinction in 2007 and a Finalist in 2008 & 2009.
